Hilary Duff went to watch boyfriend Mike Comrie play in his latest hockey match (Rangers vs. Islanders). According to Erik, everytime Mike Comrie would take a shot, get knocked down or get in a fight, the cameras would focus in on Hilary. The announcer called her Comrie's "Sweetie".

It is good to be 20! I have been in NJ working on the set of my new independent film, Greta. It is a very different and challenging character driven role. I am up for the challenge! Evan Ross and Ellen Burstyn co-star in it with me. It is a true coming of age and realizing what life is really about for the character. I just shot a scene where I have to be in the water and it was cooooolllld. I am having a gr8 time in NJ and trying to take it one day at a time.

I wanted to thank you guys for all of the cards and gifts and candy and flowers and artwork that you sent me for my birthday. U made me feel the love and I really laughed at some of the creative and funny notes u sent. What an honor it is to have cool friends and fans from all over! On my birthday, I did some shopping in the Big Apple and had a nice quiet dinner. Being 20 feels no different, I guess when I'm 60 my outlook will change. Anyway, I am going to be back and forth from NY to NJ for a while, and who knows, I am getting used to the East Coast. I like how everyone is so real and in your face.

Gotta go, they are calling me to set.

Hilary Duff plays the title character in the interracial teen romance “Greta,” which is shooting on location in New Jersey.

Duff’s character is a waitress who falls for an ambitious cook (Evan Ross) at the restaurant where they work. But as their summer romance heats up, she has to overcome the concerns of her grandparents (Ellen Burstyn, Michael Murphy) about her boyfriend’s criminal past. The comic drama marks music-video veteran Nancy Bardawil’s feature directing debut.

Production of “Greta” is scheduled to be based in Asbury Park, Ocean Grove and Neptune for the next four weeks, according to Steve Gorelick of the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission in Newark. “It’s being made in the $1- to $2-million-dollar range,” Gorelick said.

“Basically, the entire movie is being shot in Asbury Park and Ocean Grove so they can get a New Jersey tax credit,” he said. “You qualify for a tax credit if you spend 60 percent or more of your budget in the state of New Jersey.

Greta, MTV Latin America Awards & Lola! [ 9/21/2007 ]

Ok, I have been home for a few days and its already time to go back out : (

I am going to New Jersey to shoot this cool independent movie called Greta. I read the script about two years ago and fell in love with it. It is a character driven movie, so I will be playing a true character with very complicated life challenges. I am psyched about this project! I also get to be on the East Coast during Fall which is my fav time of the year. I think I am going to take Lola. The last time I took her on a plane, she did extremely well. She misses me too much when I am gone.

I am also going to the MTV Latin America Awards in Mexico next month! I wanted everyone to know that I will be coming overseas soon; my management team has been working diligently on a schedule to make sure that we cover every market. So, please be patient and hopefully soon we will have a complete schedule. Well, I have 2 finish packing, I'll talk to you guys sooner than later...

Wow, I haven't talked to u guys in a while. Tour is finally over! I wanted to thank everyone in Canada and the US for making my tour a very successful tour. The support and fan participation was incredible. Everyone supported our food drive with USA Harvest and raised about 432 thousand pounds of food, which adds up to over 800 thousand meals which will feed people who are hungry right here in our own country! It is important to understand that if we work together, we can make a difference in peoples lives. While on tour, I have had the privilege of meeting cool and unique people from all walks of life. It has been a gr8 experience for me. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

I also wanted to say to my Canadian fans that "You Guys Rock"! While in Canada, you made me feel so relaxed and like I was at home. U showed me love and I don't take that for granite. I would not be able to do what I do without you. Oh yeah, I have a room full of gifts, everything from memorable pics to pickles to potato chips to jewelry to clothing! U guys spoiled me. I have to go but I hope u guys know how special each and every one of you is to me!

Teen actress and singer Hilary Duff is the face of Vaseline. The 19-year old shows some skin in the newest ads for the company. Duff states in reference to her striptease in the ad, “Sometimes showing a little is fun. It makes me feel sexy and girly.”

Duff most poplar acting role was in the series Lizzie McGuire as well as the 2003 movie of the same name where she played the title character. She has since appeared in the two Cheaper by the Dozen movies and Material Girls. Duff’s first studio-produced album, Metamorphosis became number on the US charts when it was released in 2003.

Hey guys, the next single from the re-release of "Dignity" has been confirmed - REACH OUT (AND TOUCH ME) will be the next single! The video will start filming before October, and many video directors (including David LaChapelle) have sent in their video ideas. I'd like to thank HILFAN72 from Hilaryfan for this information. Here is an interesting interview in which Hilary talks a lot about her music and a collaboration with a rapper:

What do you think has enabled you, versus a lot of other people, to have two simultaneous successful careers?

Hard work, I guess. I think anything’s possible, so I’m a big dreamer and I work really hard and I have a great team of people around me that help keep me organized and keep me focused.

At one point your music was heading in an edgier direction with Most Wanted (2005), perhaps because of Joel’s influence (Madden of pop-punk band Good Charlotte, her then-boyfriend) and now it’s more dancey and pop. Are you still trying to find what your sound is?

I think it’s the other way around. My music before, the lyrics weren’t edgier, but the actual music was a little more rock-influenced. Then when we worked on music together, Joel and I, it was kind of dancey � ‘Beat of My Heart’ is like this techno song. It’s definitely pop, but it’s more dancey. Then the same with ‘Wake Up.’ After that is when I wanted to make more of a dance record and get away from that pop-punk sound.

So what would you want to do for the next one?

I always want to do something different. I was thinking about it the other day. I want to make a dual-sided record where I can make a dance record and then do an acoustic something because I crave both. I love all different kinds of music and I would love to get to do something really simple and lyric-driven with acoustic guitar, but also I love dance music. Read more

"Hilary Duff, Avril Lavigne, Cafe Tacuba and the Cure are scheduled to perform on the program.
The awards show will air live in 24 countries from Mexico City's Palacio de los Deportes on Oct. 18. It will also be shown on MTV2 and MTV Tr3s in the U.S. and on some non-cable channels in Latin America."

Due to Hilary filming 2 movies back to back this fall, the European tour has been postponed until 2008. The tour has not been cancelled, just moved and was never actually officially confirmed.
